City Slick — welcome in

We send photographers
on missions._

Get photographed today — under 30€

You want candid, natural photos of yourself — real moments, real life. We send a field photographer to quietly catch you in the street, the way a stranger would never notice. No posing. No directing. No interaction. Just you, as you actually are.

For photographers, City Slick is the method behind it — how to see what's coming, anticipate the moment, capture it without breaking it, and turn that eye into paid work.

Field note 001 — what this is

You don't just join
City Slick. You learn it.

City Slick is a method before it is a marketplace. Years of doing the actual work — on streets, at parties, in the ten seconds before something happens — compressed into something you can be taught. How to look. How to move. How to read a room, a corner, a stranger. How to know what is about to occur and already be in position.

This is not photography school. It is not a freelancer directory. It is a way of seeing that happens to pay — and a network of people who use it.

Field note 002 — the premise

Photography is a way of
predicting the future.

A camera records what already happened. A photographer notices what is about to. Behaviour, fashion, movement, language, the way a neighbourhood starts dressing differently six months before anyone writes about it. Those are signals, and they are readable.

  • signal ·People before they perform
  • signal ·Culture before it is named
  • signal ·Places before the crowd arrives
  • signal ·Moments two seconds early

See what's coming. Capture it before everyone else does. Turn your perspective into value.

The agent progression

  1. I

    Learn to see

Photography starts as observation. What to look at. What to ignore. What is actually happening in front of you.

  2. II

    Learn to anticipate

Patterns repeat before they become obvious. Read the street two seconds ahead of everyone standing in it.

  3. III

    Learn to capture

When to move. When to hold still. How to be present without collapsing the moment you came for.

  4. IV

    Learn to create value

What makes an image worth something. What a client is actually asking for when they ask for photos.

  5. V

    Learn to make money

Turn the way you see into work, rates, repeat clients, and a place inside the marketplace.

Agents come from photography, video, film, design, and stranger places. No portfolio review at the door. No following required.

On gear

The equipment isn't the magic.
The person is.

A phone can be enough. A small camera can be enough. A professional body can be enough. The floor is a lens and attention.

Field note 004 — who we look for

Some people notice
different things.

We recruit neurodivergent artists first, on purpose and without ceremony. Some people experience a street differently — more detail, more pattern, more signal, sometimes more noise. That is not a deficit in this work. It is the instrument.

Traditional systems rarely know what to do with that. We are building another path and it happens to need exactly those eyes.

Field note 008 — the other side

Don't pose.
Live.

A City Slick session is not a photoshoot. Nobody arranges you against a wall. You go about your evening in your city and an Agent is there, close enough to catch it and quiet enough not to break it. Consent first, always — you agree to be seen, then you forget you are.

  • The laugh you didn't plan
  • The expression you never see on yourself
  • The stranger walking through the frame
  • The light changing on the way home
  • The weird thing happening behind you

Real life, captured.

Agents

Learn to see. Learn to anticipate. Learn to capture. Learn to make money from it.

Clients

Experience the city differently and keep photographs nobody could have staged.

One side learns to see. The other gets to experience what they see.

Field note 009 — for the early ones

See where this could go.

City Slick begins with photography. The larger opportunity is what forms when people who can see are connected to technology, real-world data, culture, and commerce. We are early and we say so. No deck theatre — a conversation with the founder.
